I am really liking the above hometown campaign by England kit maker Umbro. Each member of Englands World Cup 2010 squad has had their number and birthplace painted in their respective hometown.
Trevor Cairns, Umbro International Chief Marketing Officer said of the campaign: “We first came up with the concept of placing a wall in each of the England squad’s hometowns as we wanted to show that each member is tailored by the area in which they grew up.”
“The walls are a way to recognise players’ heritage and the people and places that have helped them to become the international footballers they are today.”
Great stuff, but I cannot seem to find the creative brain behind this, so any knowledge is welcomed.
Created by Monorex, thanks for the heads up.
Hot on the tails of Dave Goes To Skåne comes a nice spoof tv ad for the VisitSweden campaign.
Nike Grid - London is your gameboard.
DDB London has today released a very nice, and clever looking campaign for Marmite.
Running parallel with the soon to happen UK General Election, they are using the long known ‘Love it’ or ‘Hate it’ to the max, by creating a two angled campaign, integrating social media (Facebook), and using traditional spam style tactics (door-drops).
I love how the product is so strong, a whole campaign based on the hate for it can be created.

It has taken me a long time to post this nice interactive campaign created by Wieden Kennedy London, for Fairtrade. Combining creativity and chocolate is always going to be a winner for me.
Good stuff.
Really liking the fun and simplicity of this Chiquita banana brand refresh, by designer DJ Neff.
